David and I officially became parents on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 8:02 p.m. when Emerson Elizabeth Hardin entered the world. She was born via c-section and David held my hand the whole time. The first time we heard her cry was breath-taking. Soon the doctors placed her on my chest and I could finally see the bundle of joy I had been carrying for 9 months. Soon David was off to the nursery with Emme to be bathed, weighed and measured. She weighs 5lbs, 11oz and is 19 inches long.
We were finally able to bring her home Thursday, March 26. It has been an incredible experience watching her change each day. We are so blessed that God gave us our little miracle and we thank Him each day for this gift. We also thank all of our family members and friends that wished us well and came to visit us at the hospital. Being a new parent is definitely restless but each day has presented us with memories that will last a lifetime.

She is beautiful!! What great pictures! Cherish every second with her... motherhood is amazing!! You, David, and Emerson are in our prayers as you begin this new adventure together!
Congratulations!!!! She's absolutely precious!!! I hope you all are getting some rest and enjoying every minute of being a Mommy and Daddy! :)
